The Lighting Industry Association (L.I.A.) chooses Kosnic to light up new laboratory

Kosnic Lighting Ltd. is proud to confirm that its lighting solutions were featured in the Lighting Industry Association’s (LIA) new laboratories facility in Telford, Shropshire, which were officially opened on 8th March 2016.

The 12,500 sq ft purpose-built facility will provide the industry with a cutting edge testing and certification service, supporting technological developments within the sector, as well as helping to improve product compliance and grow exports. With the aim of also using the facility to showcase the industry’s best lighting solutions, the LIA issued a lighting requirement tender for its new premises in June 2015.

Kosnic responded to the brief with high quality room schematics to communicate its proposed lighting design, illustrate how its products would look within the space and how the lighting levels would fit the purpose of each area within the facility. It used expert lighting planning software Relux to create accurate lighting calculations and deliver precise illustrations.

Following the LIA’s review and close scrutiny, Kosnic was awarded the prestigious honour of designing and supplying LED products for lighting the upstairs laboratories and offices as well as the main reception area.

“There couldn’t be an honour greater than being selected to supply Kosnic products to the Lighting Industry Association,” says Dr. WenTao Kuang, Kosnic’s Managing Director. “To be recognised by our industry’s trade body and feature in its state-of-the-art facilities is something extremely special for us as a young company that is growing within the sector. It’s a great acknowledgement of the team’s unfaltering hard work and continued focus on delivering quality products and service.”

Three products from Kosnic’s core range have been installed in the laboratories: the Kurve-3 LED Modular Luminaire and the IP65 Polo Bulkhead Luminaire, fitted with Kosnic’s award-winning LED DD Lamp, which in some cases have been configured for emergency lighting.
