Podium Place

The Project

Podium Place is a destination hotspot, which combines their two passions, cars and coffee. This hybrid hotspot showcases high-performance super cars that can be admired whilst sipping a fresh specialty coffee. Podium Place offers a unique space to Newbury, Berkshire, with a variety of supercars on display which needed illuminating to excellently exhibit the cars and also provide outstanding lighting to customers in their café. Along with Waterman Building & Preservation Ltd they selected some of Kosnic’s luminaires to light the space. Kosnic’s LED lighting has the added benefit of being highly efficient which provides fantastic cost savings.

The Brief

Ahead of Podium Place opening in 2020, Waterman Building & Preservation Ltd stripped the building right back which provided a brilliant blank canvas to create the perfect modern illumination. With a car turntable being the central emphasis for the showroom area, the Nyos downlights were selected to pull focus to the super car on display. For the surrounding areas Kosnic’s 1200x600mm Kali LED panels were chosen to provide a bright and energy efficient light source.

The Result

With the installation of Kosnic’ LED lighting, Podium Place has created an inviting environment to enjoy a freshly roasted coffee that also exhibits the supercars in all their glory. The energy efficient LED design saves up to 60% energy compared to traditional fluorescent fittings. These advanced luminaires have flicker free drivers that have the benefit of reducing eye-strain and helping to create a comfortable atmosphere. With the addition of Kosnic dimmable drivers to the panels, they can be dimmed to adjust the lighting accordingly to the environment.
