LED Luminaire Diffuser Burning Comparison

TP(a), TP(b), Polypropylene (PP) and Polystyrene (PS) are the most popular choice of materials used in LED luminaires.

We put them under scrutiny by seeing what happens when we hold a flame to them! As you can see, TP(a) and TP(b) self extinguish while the other materials continue burning until there is nothing left.

Here at Kosnic Lighting, we only use TP(a) and TP(b) diffusers. For your own safety, do not accept cheap imitations.
