Introducing Kosnic’s Mauna Family, the fire-rated dimmable downlights. The original Mauna, Mauna Plus Fixed, Mauna Plus Tilt and the new Mauna Pro.

All of the Mauna range comes with 5 years standard warranty and 7 years extended (through application).

Not only do they all have a standard of 5 a year warranty they can also be easily converted into emergency using the mains emergency conversion module.

The Mauna Family are all members of the Fire Rated and Commercial Downlight range. With a range of wattage options they all offer excellent light output, all are suitable for 30, 60 and 90 minute applications and may be installed under insulation. They have a choice of bezel colour options (Brass, Matt Black, Matt White, Polished Chrome and Satin Chrome). This range offers flexible products with high lumen efficiency and a long life time of 30,000 hours. These fire-rated downlights are perfect for a wide range of environments including retail, hotels, kitchens and homes.

Mauna

The Mauna is the original in the Mauna Family. These compact downlights have an integrated dimmable driver and have a choice of interchangeable magnetic bezels with different finishes. The white bezel is supplied as standard. It is the smallest out of the family with the dimensions of 86mm width by 60mm height and a cut out of 64mm. It comes in 3 different colour temperatures warm white, cool white and day light.

Mauna Plus Fixed & Tilt

The Mauna Plus is available in fixed or tilt. It is the second release from the Mauna Family. They have a switchable CCT Function so that the installer can select 3000K (warm white), 4000K (cool white) or 6000K (day light). This downlight is also dimmable with a mains dimmer switch and has a choice of additional bezel colours. The standard versions are available in a white finish with a white rim or a satin chrome bezel version with a black rim. It is slightly bigger than the Mauna, the Mauna Plus has the dimensions off 88mm width and 73mm height and the tilt has the dimensions off 92mm width and 85mm height. The cut out for the Mauna plus fixed is also 64mm and for the tilt is 74mm. The Mauna Plus also features push-wire terminals (loop-in and loop-out)

Mauna Pro

The Mauna Pro is Kosnic’s 7W dimmable Fire Rated downlight. It has a switchable CCT function underneath the bezel so that the installer can select 3000K (warm white), 4000K (cool white) or dim to warm, where the CCT changes from 3000K to 2000K as it dims. The Mauna Pro has an independent driver and a junction box for fast connection. The downlight is also dimmable with mains dimmer switches and has a choice of bezel colours. The white bezel is supplied as a standard. It is the same size as the Mauna with the dimensions of 86mm width and 60mm height with a cut out of 70mm. The Mauna Pro also features push-wire terminals (loop-in and loop-out)

Interchangeable Bezels

Mauna Conceal Bezel

The Mauna conceal bezel is an extra bezel which goes around the orginal bezel and is for cut-outs 80-110mm in diameter. There is a option of white or satin chrome.

Mains Emergency Module

The emergency module is an optional extra for Kosnic’s Mauna downlights. It is designed for installing within the ceiling void to provide a battery back-up supply in the event of a power cut. It allows pass-through dimming from the mains but will switch to the battery supply in an emergency. The emergency module requires a permanent live un-switched supply to main the battery charge.
